The honest head-to-head. Cheaper and faster, or more credible and easier to bank? A side-by-side on cost, speed, reputation, and the payments reality that should decide it, with a straight verdict on which fits you.

Compare the two

Nevis vs Anjouan: the cheapest licence vs the one that banks

Both are cheap offshore licences, but only one is FATF-whitelisted and actually card-friendly. Why Nevis is the small upgrade that fixes Anjouan's biggest weakness, getting paid, and when each one wins.

Is a Costa Rica gaming licence real?

The honest answer is no, there is no Costa Rica gaming licence. What you are actually being sold, why your bank will likely say no, and when a Costa Rica setup genuinely makes sense alongside a real licence.

Curacao vs Nevis: the established standard vs the challenger

How we get paid, in the open. On a Curacao licence, government fees alone run about €47,450 a year, and the lawyer's fee sits on top. The managed fee above is a fraction of that whole, and it is the only thing you ever pay Meridian directly. When we match you to a lawyer or a payment partner, that provider pays us a referral. It is never added to your bill, and we only introduce specialists we have vetted. Most consultancies charge £10,000 to £25,000 for the same management, and many take that referral quietly. We do not.

What does Meridian do?

We get online gaming operators licensed and paid. We match you to the right jurisdiction, a vetted specialist lawyer, and payment and banking partners that will actually accept you, and we can run the whole journey for you or hand you a dashboard to run it yourself. We are not a law firm and we do not sell licences.

What does it cost?

Matching is free. If you want us to run the process, the managed service is £2,490 for one track or £4,990 for the full journey. Everything else, the government fees and the lawyer, is real third-party cost you would pay anyway.

If matching is free, how do you make money?

When we match you to a lawyer or a payment partner, that provider pays us a referral. It is never added to your bill, and we only introduce specialists we have vetted. The optional managed fee is the only thing you ever pay us directly.

How long does it take?

It depends on the jurisdiction, and we never blend the numbers. Anjouan runs roughly 4 to 8 weeks, Curacao roughly 10 to 19 weeks well prepared, against a 16 to 32 week industry standard. The fit check gives you the real timeline for your case.

What if I don't qualify, or a route is wrong for me?

You hear that plainly, with the reason, instead of being sold something that will not work. The honest no is the point.

Are you a law firm?

No. Meridian is a matchmaker and an orchestration service. We connect you to licensed specialist lawyers and regulated payment partners and coordinate the journey. We do not provide legal advice.
